Me and my baby need a break Pack our bags and lets get gone Toss my keys on the dashboard Leave that town in the rearview dust All we need is a winding two-lane And a little bit of heaven we can trust Tall pines leaning like old friends Clouds caught on the mountain peaks Roll the windows down Breathe in Let the noise fall off of us Mountain breeze Carry us Where the cold spring water runs clear and clean Where the elk run wild And our hearts run free Under Your stars God we are blessed We feel so small But Your peace feels big as it covers it all Let the mountain breeze Carry you Carry me Pitch a tent by the Timberline Firepit ready to go Strike a match Watch the embers glow Feel the warmth Snuggle in close Ya this is what we needed Laughing slow in the firelight’s glow (oh yeah) Hammock swinging between two trees Night air cool on sunburned skin Hear it whisper welcome home As our quiet settles in Mountain breeze Carry us Where the cold spring water runs clear and clean Where the elk run wild And our hearts run free Under Your stars God we are blessed We feel so small But Your peace feels big as it covers it all Let the mountain breeze Carry you Carry me Where the elk run wild And our hearts run free Under Your stars God we are blessed We feel so small But Your peace feels big as it covers it all Let the mountain breeze Carry you Carry me
