Verse 1 Spending the years of your life, Hiding behind that wall. Keeping everything at a distance, Avoiding the pain of it all. You don’t want to face the world, You just stand behind your wall— Your wall of stone. Chorus It’s time to tear down that wall, Time to face your fears. It’s time to tear down that wall, Time to face the world. It’s time to tear down your wall— And let the light come in. ⸻ Verse 2 Stone by stone, you built that wall, Thinking that you’d be safe. Nothing could ever hurt you, Nothing could find its way. But now you see behind your wall of stone, You’ve locked yourself away— You can’t let love come through. Chorus It’s time to tear down that wall, Time to face your fears. It’s time to tear down that wall, Time to face the world. It’s time to tear down your wall— And let the light come in. When you’ve tried on your own and found no peace, When the weight is too much to bear, Lift your eyes and call His name— You’ll find that He is there. For faith in Jesus breaks the stone, And turns your fear to song— Where you are weak, He is strong. ⸻ Bridge (Triumphant Build) Let His mercy flood your soul, Let His Spirit make you whole. The walls will crumble, hearts will rise— New light breaks through the skies. ⸻ Final Chorus It’s time to tear down that wall, It’s time to tear down that wall, Let His love draw near. It’s time to tear down that wall, There’s no more need to fear. Faith in Jesus makes you strong— In His strength you now belong. Your wall is gone… His light lives on.
