Moses went up to the mountain so high Clouded in smoke up against the blue sky Written in stone by the finger of grace Rules for the heart of the whole human race Ten holy words to show us the way To live in the light and to walk day by day. (Chorus) One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten! Listen close, let’s count them again! A lamp for our feet and a guide for our youth God gave the commandments to walk in the truth! (Verse 2) Number One: Put no other gods in His sight. Number Two: Bow to no idols of stone in the night. Number Three: Keep His name holy, don't use it in vain. Number Four: Rest on the Sabbath from labor and strain. That’s the first four about loving the Lord, Now let’s look at how human hearts are restored! (Chorus) One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten! Listen close, let’s count them again! A lamp for our feet and a guide for our youth God gave the commandments to walk in the truth! (Verse 3) Number Five: Honor your father and mother with love. Number Six: Do not murder, prize life from above. Number Seven: Be faithful and true to your spouse. Number Eight: Do not steal from another man’s house. Number Nine: Speak the truth, do not cover with lies. Number Ten: Do not covet or envy your neighbor's prize.
