✧11🌙You're not to Blame

Lore of track 11: Doom is ambivalent after his last encounters, but finally Eun-ha and he watch each other sleep. [Verse 1] The nightmare from before the prison. I feared it, so I lay awake till dawn. But then the dream took over, bringing no relief. Seeing the darker shades beneath my eyes, I went to the shaman and heard Dol Dom. He turned the words inside my mind. "But you are not to blame." (oh no) [Verse 2] The shaman knew about my hidden scar. But revealing it brings no healing. Revealing it lets agony sing. "And you are not to blame." Dol Dom stood before me again. A darker shadow from Eun-ha's past. I should protect us from his venom. He wanted you to carry the blame. (in vain) [Pre-Chorus] I have lived without chains. I have lived without a home. I called my distance freedom. I called my silence my own. [Chorus] Somehow changing me? Am I no longer free? I hated echoing their words in my head. I should feel my heart instead. It seems I have forgotten what freedom was supposed to be. Why did one simple evening matter more than centuries to me? [Verse 3] When you called my name, not because you needed saving. I was annoyed because of me. "You were never to blame." You only wanted to know if I would appear when called. You enjoyed calling me bodyguard. "You could never be to blame." [Verse 4] A ghost-boy welcomed his destination. The old house welcomed life again. I shared a table for no reason. Yet nothing had ever felt more needed. The announced weathers were unnatural. Something old moved through rising darkness. Protecting you felt like usual. Knowing it sure might help me distress. [Chorus] Somehow changing me? Am I no longer free? I hated echoing their words in my head. I should feel my heart instead. It seems I have forgotten what freedom was supposed to be. Why did one simple evening matter more than centuries to me? [Bridge 1] I found you sleeping through the storm. No fear was written on your face. No question waiting in your eyes. Only your quiet human place. I watched you breathe so peacefully. A thing I could not understand. After centuries of staying awake, I envied the very rest you meant. [Verse 5] Opening your eyes so slowly. Still caught between sleep and dreams. You saw the spirit in your room. But nothing was as strange as it seems. No fear was in your waking. No doubt crossed your mind. [female voice:] "Did you come to be my bodyguard? Fine, make yourself comfortable." [Bridge 2] But there beside you in the darkness, my thoughts became strangely calm. For one small moment in time, the storm outside felt far away. Then silence took the place of fear. And something inside me released. For the first time after centuries, I found a moment of my peace. [Outro] And I stopped resisting sleep. [female voice] And Eun-ha awoke beside the dreamless me.
