✧6🌙Dreaming Doom

Lore of Track 6: An ancient dream forces Doom to confront the memory of a wound he believed long forgotten. [Intro] I saw her before me, through the whole damn night. Again and again: her frightened eyes, her determination, her anger, her trembling questions. Why? Why did she stay with me? [Verse 1: dreamy] Again I find myself staring into the night, no full moon above me, still sleep will not come. Again her face returns, with that look in her eyes. But this is not Eun-ha. I do not know her name. She says goodbye in tears, to her father, to her little son. [soft whispering] But he is not my son. I am not... I will never have a child. [normal voice] She turns to me, tears covering her face, eyes red from crying, still beautiful. She says: "I am ready." I want to comfort her. But my arms hang helplessly. How can the executioner comfort his victim? The image fades. The dream continues. I cry. I run. I am hunted. I am brought home. To my tower. They take my staff away. They lock me inside. They seal my prison. I woke up, covered in sweat, my heart racing. [Chorus] Something I buried is calling me back. Something I forgot still remembers my name. I closed the door, I sealed it away. But what was forgotten found me again. [Verse 2] Why "Eun-ha"? I had forgotten her old name. I did not know her new name. [soft whispering] It should not matter. It did not matter. But it did. [normal voice] I had forgotten those dreams. During my prison, they had returned again and again. Then they faded. I buried them. So why now? Why did this forgotten past return through someone I had just met? [soft whispering] I only wanted an answer. But I knew the truth. I wanted to know her [Bridge] If this ghost-seer could bring back ... But I could not go to her. Not yet. Seeing her again might only make the nightmares worse. But she would call for me. Now she knew my name, the name I never gave away. How could I protect myself? Then I thought of the shaman. The nightmares after my prison were something she helped me to handle. She could make them stop again. But this was different. This was older. [Chorus 2] Something I buried is calling me back. Something I forgot still remembers my name. I searched for silence, I searched for peace. But what was forgotten was searching for me. [Outro] I went to the shaman.
